Finding your Moen model number is the first step for warranty claims, ordering replacement parts, and identifying the correct cartridge. This guide shows you exactly where to look on every type of Moen product.

Where to Find Your Moen Model Number
Kitchen Faucets
Check the label on the supply hose under the sink, about 6 inches from the base. Some models have the number printed on the faucet base plate or on a sticker inside the cabinet.
Bathroom Faucets
Look for a label on the hot water supply line under the sink. The model number is also sometimes stamped on the bottom of the faucet (requires removing it).
Shower Valves
The model number is on the valve body behind the wall (visible during installation). For identification without wall access, remove the handle and look at the cartridge type: 1222 = Posi-Temp, M-CORE cartridge = M-CORE valve.
Showerheads
Check the box or receipt. Some showerheads have the model number on the back of the head or on the mount bracket.
